Sighing Through Grasses

Sighing Through Grasses is a scattering of Maggie Goren’s poems which includes some of her earliest and most recent work with a view to covering not only time but a range of subjects and passions of constant interest or concern to the author, amongst which man’s humanity and inhumanity, the nature of time and the natural world loom large. In this respect her style seems to vary quite widely in attendance to content in lighter and darker vein. Her own view is that poetry written, chosen and read is one of the surest guides to the personality of both the author and reader, as complex as that may be; a mirror not only on our souls but our lives, our thinking and experiences, so that to share a poem is to share a life.
